Job Description
New Journey, a Genesis10pany, is seeking a resource for a 3-month contract position with the potential for a contract extension or conversion.
Compensation: $32.00 per hour
3rd shift - 10pm-6:30am
On-call as business needs
Rotating schedule
Every 4 weeks end up with 4 days off in a row
The Electrician will oversee the daily operation of the campus electrical power and lighting systems. Under general supervision, install, operate, maintain, alter, troubleshoot and repair electrical power and lighting distribution systems along with a wide variety of industrial electrical equipment.
Job Responsibilities:
This position is responsible for focusing on operating, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing facility equipment on all systems.
At the direction of supervisor, assists with maintenance, monitoring, and performance of preventive maintenance on all equipment including, but not limited to, electrical, heat exchanger, HVAC, emergency backup systems and hot water systems.
Requires the ability to analyze the operation of various systems, determine the cause of any problems/malfunctions and take corrective action as required.
Assist other mechanics and operators with major repairs and maintenance of building and equipment.
Install, repair, and maintain electrical controls, switching and motor controls.
Monitor operation, repair, and maintain other mechanical and electrical equipment; recording readings as necessary to assure proper operation of equipment; responsible for reporting any problems/malfunctions.
Comply with departmental policy for the safe storage, usage, and disposal of hazardous materials.
Maintains a clean and safe workplace.
Oversees the general operation, repair and maintenance of the building electrical and lighting systems, perform new installations and perform PMs.
Serves as a subject matter expert on all electrical, life safety, and fire alarm systems.
Understands the engineering design and operational aspects of the building critical systems andponents.
Must be able to troubleshoot and respond to operational and emergency situations.
A solid understanding of NFPA-70E is required, and employees are expected to work on equipment in the Arc Flash PPE that is necessary to perform the work.
Checks malfunctioning equipment and puts corrective actions in place.
Ensures that work is performed efficiently with a minimum amount of disruption and inconvenience.
Prioritizes all PM s, corrective and emergent work orders for the site (annual, monthly, weekly, and daily)
Maintains a clean and safe working environment.
Identifies and remediates all Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) issues as they arise.
Complies with departmental policy for the safe storage, usage and disposal of hazardous materials.
Completes all assigned JLL and Client required training andplies with the established training standards at all times.
Has prior safety training such as NFPA-70e and OSHA-10
Ensures the availability of an adequate inventory of tools and other supplies to operate the building.
Required Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED
Electrical License - highly ideal
Holds a trade license - highly ideal
Experience troubleshooting electrical systems
Industrial controls experience (installing & troubleshooting)
Familiar with BMS and CMMS systems
Able to perform physical aspects of job
Must be proficient in basicputer application software such as MS Office, Outlook, Work Order System, etc.
Team player, hard worker, good interpersonal skills, ability tomunicate well in both oral and written reports.
