Commercial Construction Project Manager
Location: Madison, WI
Client Overview: Our client, a respected and long-standing general contractor in the Madison area, is seeking a motivated Project Manager to join their growing team. This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of diverse commercial projects and play a key role in delivering meaningful, community-focused work.
Responsibilities:
Oversee commercial construction projects from preconstruction through closeout, ensuring on-time and on-budget delivery.
Collaborate with owners, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to maintain strong communication and alignment throughout each project.
Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and documentation.
Support bidding and procurement efforts, working closely with estimating and field teams.
Lead project meetings, resolve challenges proactively, and ensure a high level of quality and safety.
Mentor junior staff and contribute to a positive, team-oriented culture.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in construction project management or related roles (assistant PMs with strong experience will also be considered).
Knowledge of commercial construction practices and processes.
Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
