GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
Responsible for overall planning and design of demountable walls for commercial interiors
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Determines architectural preferences, purpose & function that effect planning the interior environments.
- Develops deep understanding of material partner solutions and product specifications
- Integrates client needs and requests with knowledge of interior architecture and formulates a space plan.
- Prepares proposals for and provide presentation support to clients.
- Estimates material requirements, costs and hours required for project design.
- Details requirements for modular wall solutions and accessories
- Attends project sites and verifies site conditions are appropriate for product solution.
- Develop takeoffs and create BOM.
- Create shop and installation drawings.
- Maintains current knowledge of local building codes, ADA issues, and Modular Wall product lines.
- Creates required specifications and drawings in Revit, CET and AutoCAD.
- Collaborate with PM's and sales, clients & GC's
- Integrating sustainable design practices (LEED, WELL, etc.)
- Researching and applying innovative materials, finishes, and technologies
- Collaborating with contractors and installers to ensure design intent is executed accurately
- Resolving design-related issues that arise during construction
- Read and understand architectural and engineering construction documents.

KEY SELECTION AND SUCCESS FACTORS
WORK EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum 2 years of recent, hands-on Revit experience
- 3 - 6 years' experience in a related field
- Modular Walls experience preferred
EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in architecture or interior design
- Ability to produce detailed and accurate shop drawings
- Ability to field verify scope areas and take precise dimensions to translate to layout documents
- Ability to adapt and learn the construction & architectural influence associated with this business
- Exceptional customer contact skills
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively with all levels of company personnel and clientele
- Competent in reading and interpreting architectural and engineering drawings and specs
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, CET, AutoCAD and 3D modeling software (Sketch Up, etc)
- Ability to present and explain design intent
OTHER/PREFERRED:
- RID, IIDA license strongly preferred
- Experience with specifying demountable wall products preferred
- Highly proficient in Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Writer, Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Ability to successfully prioritize and juggle tasks in a busy, sometimes high pressured, environment
- Ability to find new and innovative ways to deliver on the customers' requirements
- Excellent customer service skills and communication skills with internal and external customers
- Excellent attention to detail
