Job Title: Fabricator
Job Description
As a Fabricator, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks related to metal fabrication, including operating and maintaining equipment such as Press Brakes, Punch Press, metal rolling, Drill Presses, milling equipment, and lathes. You will perform layout duties, tapping holes, and metal finishing to ensure high-quality production.
Responsibilities
Perform routine maintenance of fabrication equipment, including changing punch and die, monitoring equipment for proper function, and debris removal.
Utilize hand, bench, and light machine operations to tap, deburr, file, grind, and polish sawed and machined parts.
Accurately use measurement tools such as tape measures, squares, scribes, calipers, and micrometers.
Transfer information from blueprints to work pieces using scribe, tape measure, square, protractor, punch, and other measuring devices.
Select appropriate speeds, feeds, tooling, and operational sequences for materials and operations.
Operate overhead cranes and fork trucks to manage raw bar stock steel, perform material inspections, verify packing lists, and store steel inventory.
Ensure accuracy with alignment, dimensions, materials, number of components, machine order, and inspection requirements.
Set up and operate shears, punches, presses, and other sheet metal processing equipment to cut, bend, punch, burn, and slot materials according to quality standards.
Post material out of stock and process paperwork requirements.
Adjust gauges and stops on equipment and calculate bend allowances.
Use scales, squares, protractors, and gauges to finish sheet metal and stainless-steel components.
Perform cycle counts as prescribed by Production and Inventory Control.
Interpret work orders, blueprints, and bills of material.
Essential Skills
2+ years experience operating fabrication equipment.
3+ years experience working with blueprints.
Competency in utilizing measurement tools such as calipers and micrometers.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with overhead cranes and fork trucks.
Ability to select proper operational sequences best suited to materials and nature of operation.

Work Environment
Work on the 1st Shift from Monday to Thursday, with a 30-minute lunch break. Overtime is voluntary on Fridays and Saturdays, with potential for involuntary overtime communicated on Mondays. Work in a clean, well-lit facility alongside 2-6 assemblers using Milwaukee tools. Be comfortable working on platforms up to 20 feet high and 70 feet long.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $28.00/hr.
