HVAC Business Development Manager

The Business Development Manager is responsible for driving revenue growth and expanding the company's market reach by identifying and pursuing new business opportunities. This involves developing and implementing strategies, building relationships with vendors, customers and TGG Team members and negotiating deals to secure profitable sales. BDMs play a critical role in a company's overall success by contributing to sustainable growth and increased profitability for our HVAC business.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Render quality customer service to obtain maximum profits from sales volume.
Strive to meet or exceed budgeted objectives on gross margin and sales.
Promote good customer relations based on high integrity, standards and fair dealings.
Resolve customer complaints and issues where appropriate.
Determine sales coverage for HVAC Customers and conduct routine calls both with and without sales associates to ensure market penetration.
Work closely with the Territorys outside sales personnel and branch managers to develop and execute an HVAC Sales plan including Unitary, Mini-splits and Supplies.
Training
Periodically conduct on-site product training for The Granite Groups personnel who also market and sell HVAC products in the Territory.
Conduct and coordinate customer training with our vendor partners.
Maintain a rolling calendar of all training for the HVAC in the territory.
Complete and provide a Weekly Sales Call Report for review with your manager.
Make suggestions to management for improvements in
Inventory
products and product mix
Personnel
Provide application and technical support as needed to customer and TGG associates.
Be a citizen of the industry, attend and participate in industry associations and meetings.
Deliver;
Market and competitive analysis
Functional and non-functional requirements
Sales tools including;
Literature
Power point presentations
Store displays
Competitive analysis
Product plans and selling tools that align market opportunities.
Establish and maintain a schedule which allows each assigned customer to be contacted and serviced regularly or more frequently if requested by the customer.
Assist the Credit Department in setting credit limits and in performing the collection of past due accounts.
Retain confidential information on both The Granite Group and the customer.
Maintain a neat, professional vehicle and personal appearance.
Continue to improve selling technique, skills and product knowledge.
Keep informed and strive for personal growth and development.
Perform all duties in a consistently safe manner and adhere to all company safety policies.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:
Bachelors Degree or equivalent from four-year college or technical school; or 2 to 5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. HVAC industry experience is a plus.
