Journeyman Electrician - Austin Area

Position Title: Journeyman Electrician

Primary Objective:

The Journeyman Electrician is responsible for overseeing and performing any electrical work required for an installation.

Responsibilities:

1. Reviewing plan sets and creating material list
2. Confirming electrical calculations
3. Layout and assembly of electrical service wall and conduit/wire runs
4. Mechanical/structural mounting of electrical equipment
5. Electrical wiring of solar array/system (AC & DC)
6. Standing inspections and commissioning systems
7. Testing circuits
8. Landing terminals
9. Install jobs within a specified timeframe and document completion of installation
10. Ownership of the quality, timeliness, documentation, and safety of each installation
11. Clean up of job site
12. Additional duties required as needed

Knowledge and Skills Required:

- Strong work ethic
- Excellent customer service skills required
- Detail oriented and shows pride in work
- Technical troubleshooting capability
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs of weight frequently throughout the day
- Must be willing to climb ladders, stairs and work on rooftops
- Must have valid driver license and reliable transportation with a clean driving record
- High School diploma or GED required
- Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment criminal and drug screen
- Must have own hand tools
- OSHA 10 Certification
- TECL Journeyman License
- Verifiable references
- US Citizenship or Work Permit

Physical Demands:

- Employee is required to walk, lift heavy objects, climb ladders and stairs, and work on rooftops.
