We are seeking a reliable and mechanically inclined General Laborer to join our team in Hammond, Indiana. This position involves assisting with the assembly and disassembly of motors and components, supporting shop operations, and handling a variety of tools and equipment. The ideal candidate has strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn and grow within our team. Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with the assembly and disassembly of AC and DC motors and related components
• Operate hand tools, power tools, and shop equipment safely and effectively
• Support general shop duties including cleaning, organizing, and material handling
• Inspect parts for wear or damage and prepare them for repair or reassembly
• Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean, safe work environment
• Perform other duties as assigned to support the repair shop

Specific Qualifications

Qualifications:

• Strong mechanical skills and hands-on experience with tools and equipment
• Ability to follow instructions and work both independently and as part of a team
• Basic problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Prior experience in mechanical repair, assembly, or industrial shop work is a plus

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. regularly
• Standing, bending, and working with tools for extended periods
