Infrastructure Engineer

A fast-growing SaaS and FinTech company is seeking a skilled and proactive Infrastructure Engineer with expertise in AWS and infrastructure-as-code using the AWS Cloud Development Kit (CDK) . This role is ideal for someone passionate about scaling platforms through automation, resilience, and modern cloud practices.

You ll work closely with software engineers, product teams, and technical leadership to build secure, scalable infrastructure that supports rapid development and high availability. While infrastructure is the primary focus, experience with PHP and Laravel is a plus, as you ll also contribute to backend services and system integration.

This is a fully remote position. Applicants must be based in and authorized to work in U.S. time zones .

• Architect and provision infrastructure using AWS CDK (TypeScript).
• Develop reusable, modular CDK constructs for multiple services.
• Manage AWS environments with a focus on scalability, cost optimization, and security.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitLab.
• Enhance system observability through logging, metrics, and alerting.
• Automate infrastructure workflows and enable developer self-service.
• Support incident response and root cause analysis.
• Remediate security vulnerabilities in container images and cloud infrastructure.
• Guide infrastructure decisions as the platform scales.
• Contribute to backend services in PHP/Laravel, especially in automation and integration.
• Participate in an on-call rotation to maintain service availability.

• Infrastructure as Code: AWS CDK (TypeScript)

• 5+ years in infrastructure or DevOps engineering roles.
• Hands-on experience with AWS CDK in production.
• Strong understanding of cloud architecture and identity management.
• Experience with AWS IAM and multi-account AWS Organizations.
• Solid grasp of networking concepts (load balancers, security groups, DNS).
• Experience remediating container and cloud infrastructure vulnerabilities.
• Skilled in CI/CD pipeline management and container orchestration.
• Familiarity with monitoring, logging, and incident response tools.
• Background in SOC2 or similar compliance environments.
• Experience with PHP and Laravel.
• Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
