Monday-Friday, 5:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

Job Duties:
- Makes scheduled and emergency repairs to heating, ventilating, air conditioning, refrigeration and controls systems.
- Oversees and performs preventive maintenance and replacement of all heating, cooling and ventilation equipment to insure maximum life expectancy and timely capital replacement.
- Oversees the efficient operation and chemical treatment of all district heating and cooling plants.
- Maintains a program to troubleshoot and upgrade all control systems including pneumatic and electronic systems while expanding the energy management systems in all buildings.
- Maintains proper adjustments and sequencing of air handling equipment, boilers, chillers and other mechanical systems.
- Oversees and performs the repair, preventive maintenance and replacement of all plumbing fixtures and piping systems.
- Works with building custodial and maintenance personnel to improve the preventive maintenance of building systems and explain and train personnel on proper operation of the systems.
- Works with Buildings and Grounds on new construction and remodeling projects
- Establish district wide inventory of all boilers, RTU's, and AHUs, by building and age.
- Performs other duties and assume other responsibilities of a similar nature or level as assigned or apparent
Qualifications:
- Evidence of State of Minnesota Chief C License or a minimum of a 1st Class C License and the willingness to obtain the required Chief C license as soon as permitted by the Minnesota Department of Labor and Industry.
- Certified Pool Operator license
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Trade school graduate in skill area and minimum of four years of experience in the skill, one of which must be with a public school district. Without trade school, the employee must have a total of seven years of experience in the skill, one of must be with a public school district.
- Computer skills needed for energy management systems.
- Must have supervisory experience.
- Evidence of excellent leadership and interpersonal skills
- Detail oriented with demonstrated ability to organize and maintain records
- Demonstrated accurate mathematical skills
- Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate both written and orally
- Strong mechanical and technical skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills as applied to interaction with coworkers, supervisor, the general public, etc. sufficient to exchange or convey information and to receive work direction.
