Job Description

Join our dynamic team as a Saw Operator in the machining department, where you will play a crucial role in preparing incoming materials for machinists. Your primary responsibility will be cutting materials to precise specifications as outlined in job travelers, ensuring quality and efficiency in production.

Responsibilities

• Operate saws to cut materials to specified lengths as detailed in job travelers.

• Read and interpret blueprints accurately to determine correct materials and measurements.

• Ensure precision in measurements to avoid wastage of materials.

• Utilize computer systems to manage job tasks, including clocking in and out and accessing relevant job notes.

• Operate additional equipment such as drill presses, bandsaws, and grinders as needed.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in saw operation with at least 6 months of experience in a fabrication or machine shop environment.

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints accurately.

• Strong attention to detail with excellent tape measure skills.

• Competence in basic computer operations for job task management.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in a metals environment is preferred.

• Familiarity with operating drill presses, bandsaws, and grinders.

Work Environment

Work in a custom fabrication shop located in the Ashwaubenon Industrial Park. The shop operates with flexible start times between 5am-7am, which become fixed once established. Experience a professional setting with a focus on precision and quality.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $23.75/hr.
