Ecolabs Garland facility is seeking a Controls/Electrical Engineer to support and enhance our manufacturing operations. This role plays a vital part in maintaining the reliability, safety, and efficiency of our automated systems and electrical infrastructure. A successful candidate will possess deep expertise in industrial automation and electrical systems, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and a strong commitment to continuous improvement in a dynamic, safety-driven environment.
What You Will Do:
Participate in the Design and Review of technical components of all project work and new projects.
Design, implement, and maintain electrical control systems for production and utility equipment.
Program PLCs (Rockwell Automation preferred), HMIs, and SCADA systems.
Lead hands-on troubleshooting (95% Rockwell Automation I/O PLC and HMI)
Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions for electrical and control system failures.
Collaborate with maintenance, operations, and safety teams to support capital projects and process improvements.
Adhere to Ecolab Garland Programming Standards and Etiquette.
Ensure compliance with Ecolabs safety standards and applicable regulations (OSHA, NEC, NFPA 70E).
Maintain accurate documentation including electrical schematics, panel layouts, and control logic.
Support installation and commissioning of new equipment and system upgrades.
Manage contractors and vendors for controls-related work and system integration.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Systems Engineering, or a related field.
5 years of experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
Proficiency in PLC programming and troubleshooting (Rockwell Automation/Allen-Bradley), HMI development, and industrial networking.
Experience with HMI development, troubleshooting industrial networks.
Solid track record of VFDs motor control.
Experience troubleshooting instrumentation.
Knowledge of safety circuits hardware and software.
Experience with AutoCAD Electrical or similar design tools.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in chemical, food, or pharmaceutical manufacturing environments.
Familiarity with SAP, CMMS systems, and MES integration.
Lean Six Sigma or continuous improvement training.
Professional Engineer (PE) license or working toward certification.
Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and project management skills.
Annual or Hourly Compensation Range
The pay range for this position is $98,600.00 - $148,000.00. Many factors are taken into consideration when determining compensation, such as experience, education, training, geography, etc. We comply with all minimum wage and overtime laws.Benefits
