Maintain all plumbing systems properly, upon requests for repairs and supplies from approved work orders.

Principal Accountabilities
Maintain repairs and replaces broke plumbing lines, such as, copper, black, cast iron, galvanized, PVC, etc
Install new plumbing equipment, fixtures, trim, etc.
Changes faucet parts, shower heads, valves, toilet seats, irrigation sprinkler heads, water heaters, and other fixtures and parts associated with correctly operating plumbing systems
Maintains records on all preventive maintenance and services performed including machine hours, parts, ordered, etc.
Develops and implements a preventive maintenance program on plumbing systems within areas of responsibility.
Maintains a properly stocked storeroom of plumbing supplies and requisition supplies as needed.
Keeps current log on cut-off valves and various types of water heaters
Performs other related tasks as assigned.
Assists contractor with repair and warranty work
Ability to be on-call for emergency plumbing issues
Knowledge of safety procedures related to plumbing and must adhere to all safety standards and work practices set by the Physical Plant Knowledge and ability to perform preventive maintenance services on plumbing machinery
Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
1. Experience as a maintenance plumber
2. High school diploma or GED equivalent
3. Mechanical and plumbing skills
4. Valid Texas Driver's license or ability to obtain one.
5. Ability to be on-call as needed.
6. Computer skills
Minimum Competencies
Ability to perform basic plumbing repairs individually and without close supervision
Preferred Qualifications
Plumbing license or certification

This is not a desk job even though it does have computer literate responsibilities. The work environment will be continuingly changing from inside to outside and in the outdoor environment. Hot and cold temperatures and even wet environments from time to time.
Normal day looks like this. Come in log into a computer, answer emails and get work orders. Load all supplies needed for the day and go to work. Lunch time you take an hour lunch then repeat the mooring. Check emails and work orders then go to work till 4:30pm when you go home. There are times like move inn that after hours work will be available. Along with the occasional call out after hours.
