Job Summary: Description:
Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, circuits, and machinery in the sawmill facility.
Trouble shoot and diagnose electrical malfunctions, including issues with motors, control panels, transformers, lighting, and power distribution systems.
Ensure electrical wiring is up to code, safe, and functional for various sawmill equipment.
Perform routine inspections of electrical equipment and systems to identify potential issues before they result in downtime.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance, repairs, and inspections performed on electrical systems and equipment.
Report electrical issues, maintenance requirements, and equipment failures to the Maintenance Supervisor.
Work Closely with other maintenance and operational teams to ensure the smooth and continuous operation of sawmill equipment.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED
Completion of an apprenticeship program (4-5 years)
Journeyman electrician license
Experience in industrial electrical systems and sawmill operations preferred.
Knowledge of electrical safety standards and practices
Strong troubleshooting and mechanical skills
Continuous learning to keep up with changes in electrical codes and technology
