Carpenter / Construction Laborer $18+ Consistent Work Job Description Join our team as a Construction Laborer in Cedar Rapids, focusing on pre-engineered metal buildings. You will play a vital role in erecting metal posts and studs, attaching sheet metal, insulating, and drywalling interiors, while assisting experienced tradespeople. Responsibilities Erect metal posts and studs. Attach sheet metal using power tools. Insulate and drywall interior spaces. Assist tradespeople with moving materials and tools. Operate lifts for elevated work. Essential Skills Minimum of 6 months of construction experience. Proficiency with power tools and hand tools. Mechanical aptitude and carpentry skills. Valid Driver's License. Additional Skills & Qualifications Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. Comfortable working from a lift at heights of 20ft or more. Why Work Here? Work Environment Work in new, unoccupied construction buildings with a team of 3-5 people. Standard hours are 7am-5pm, Monday to Friday, with occasional longer days and a couple of Saturdays per month. Dress code includes jeans, a t-shirt/sweatshirt, and leather work boots.
