JOB SUMMARY

Seeking an experienced Metal Craftsman to join our Service Department. This role requires expertise in metal roofing systems, general roof repairs, and specialty work with TPO, PVC, built-up, and modified roofing systems. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, safety-focused, and committed to delivering high-quality workmanship.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

Perform general roof repairs and maintenance across metal, TPO, PVC, built-up, and modified roofing systems.

Fabricate, construct, and repair metal roofing components including flashing, panels, and other sheet metal parts.

Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and repair specifications.

Measure, cut, and shape metal pieces using hand tools, shears, grinders, and other powered equipment.

Install, solder, and seal metal roofing components to ensure watertight performance.

Conduct roof inspections and diagnose issues related to leaks, corrosion, or structural damage.

Apply coatings, sealants, or finishes as needed to extend roof life and maintain system integrity.

Follow all company and OSHA safety protocols while working at heights, on scaffolds, and with power tools.

Communicate effectively with supervisors, project managers, and clients regarding work performed and site conditions.

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

Perform other duties as assigned by project management or operations leadership.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum 5 years of roofing experience, with proven skills in metal roofing repair and fabrication.

Strong knowledge of TPO, PVC, built-up, and modified roofing systems.

Ability to read and interpret construction documents and technical drawings.

Skilled in metal cutting, shaping, soldering, and fastening techniques.

Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on craftsmanship and quality.

OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification preferred.

Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.

Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.

WORK CONDITIONS

Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. independently.

Frequent standing, climbing, bending, and working at heights on ladders, scaffolding, and lifts.

Work performed in outdoor environments under varying weather conditions.
