Overview of the Position: ECOMPEX, Inc., a premiere Government Contract (Gov-Con) service provider, is seeking an Architect to provide supportive services for our government client.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Develop architectural designs, drawings, and technical documentation to meet project goals and standards.
- Conduct site visits, surveys, and walk-throughs to assess conditions and validate design requirements.
- Review design packages, submittals, and drawings for accuracy, compliance, and constructability.
- Collaborate with engineers, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure design intent and functionality are achieved.
- Monitor project progress and provide technical guidance throughout design, construction, and closeout phases.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Must be able to pass a Tier 1 background investigation.
- Proven experience creating architectural concepts that align with project objectives and operational requirements.
- Background in managing specialized projects, ensuring designs are innovative and functional.
- Must have experience preparing design proposals, drawings, and other architectural documentation.
- Ability to develop plans and concepts tailored to project needs, building functionality, and environmental considerations.
- Experience designing and updating new construction, additions, renovations, and restorations with a focus on sustainability and project specific requirements.
- Demonstrated experience with the design and renovation of Sensitive Compartmented Information Facilities (SCIFs).
- Must possess a Bachelors degree in Architecture or related field.
- Must have a minimum of 12 years of architecture experience, including at least 2 years supporting Federal design projects.
- Must have a professional Architectural License.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills and Experience):
- Proficiency in design software such as Revit, AutoCAD, or SketchUp.
- Experience preparing design presentations, renderings, and technical briefings for senior stakeholders.
- Knowledge of Federal building standards, accessibility requirements, and secure facility design guidelines.
- Experience coordinating with engineers, contractors, and Federal stakeholders on complex, multi-phase projects.
