Responsibilities
- Understand customer requirements thoroughly.
- Choose a design architecture that meets performance, EMI, reliability, and cost targets.
- Conduct detailed design and analysis of electronic control units to ensure compliance with requirements.
- Consider and balance cost, technical, schedule, and risk factors.
- Interface effectively with the project team and customers.
- Generate and review technical specifications and reports to satisfy internal and external deliverables.
- Perform breadboard level tests on new development products.
- Mentor junior level electrical engineers.
JOB SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Electrical Engineering.
- 5+ years of experience designing electrical circuits in aerospace.
- New Product Development experience in the aerospace/military industry.
- Effective communication, planning, and organization skills for managing multiple projects concurrently.
- Experience in designing and testing analog and digital circuits and controllers.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
- Experience with electric motor drives is preferred.
- Strong documentation and writing skills.
- Ability to work closely with a team of engineers and technicians.
- Comfortable working in a laboratory environment.
