Parsons is looking for an excellent Roadway Engineer II to join our team for our rapidly expanding portfolio of projects. If youre looking to take your career to the next level and to be a part of an amazing team and company!

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Independently develop and/or supervise the creation of contract documents for transportation projects meeting client quality requirements including defining the problem, establishing scope, preparing the budget and schedule, planning work, providing technical direction, and reporting the work status
  • Analyzing design issues and providing detailed designs that satisfies the clients needs
  • Delivering products consisting of detailed calculations, drawings, procurement documents, design and installation packages, proposal evaluations, technical reports, and detailed analyses
  • Supporting other discipline activities as necessary
  • Mentoring young staff members and providing performance input
  • Developing skill sets to lead project development in the future
  • Providing technical guidance to young engineers and CAD Designer/Drafters on project

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

  • Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering (or related field)
  • 5+ years of related work experience
  • Engineer-in-Training (EIT) Certificate may be required
  • Proficiency in utilizing CAD and other PC software packages typically associated with road engineering
  • DOT Road and wall design experience

What Desired Skills Youll Bring:

  • Excellent written and communication skills
  • Ability to lead and motivate team members in completion of project tasks
  • Provide training and lead technical discussions related to roadway engineering
  • Maintenance of Traffic (MOT) experience
