BRIEF DESCRIPTION:

The National traveling Commercial Roofing Superintendent is a nationwide traveling position responsible for the day-to-day oversight of all assigned commercial roofing projects, including but not limited to subcontractors, site safety, and quality control of roof and metal installation to ensure all aspects of each project are completed per manufacturer specifications. Communication with the Commercial Roofing Project Manager is critical throughout the process to ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction.

Base Salary Range is $85,000 - $95,000

Commission OTE is $45,000 - $105,000

Vehicle Allowance or Company Vehicle (at discretion of company)

PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Field Management

  • Follow scope and notify Project Manager of discrepancies.
  • Ensure all work is Installed with complete daily documentation.
  • Confirm Material delivered are correct. Source additional materials as needed.
  • Adhering to all OSHA roof top safety is necessary, and aptitude to train others with enforcement of safety policies is required.
  • Assist with changing order amounts when requested.
  • Directly supervise subcontractors to verify that they are supplying adequate resources to meet contract and deadline requirements.
  • Ensure project work meets the highest standards of workmanship based on manufacturer guidelines.
  • Directly supervise all on-site personnel on projects as required.
  • Adheres to all company Best Practices.
  • Provide the highest level of customer service.
  • All other duties or projects as assigned.

Office Management

  • Execute proper Raken Daily reports and upload them.
  • Must attend production meetings (by phone or virtually) as scheduled.
  • Ensure all subcontractors are working under a subcontract agreement, no exceptions.
  • Notify Project Manager with progress updates for current schedule.
  • Representation on BluSky emergency response for any commercial roofing project.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:

  • This position has no direct reports.

COMPETENCIES, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • Ability to communicate effectively with clients, and internal and external contacts throughout the project process.
  • Must be able to read and understand manufacturer specification guidelines.

EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor's degree in construction management is preferred but not required.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:

  • 3+ years commercial roofing field experience required, knowledge and experience should include BUR, TPO, PVC, Mod-Bit and Metal roof systems.
  • Computer skills in MS Word and Excel are required.
  • Experience in Microsoft Schedule and Raken a plus.
  • Must be able to travel away from home 100% of the time (travel home or elsewhere every three weeks for a three-day weekend).
