Electrical Operations Manager

MetroPower is hiring a Field Operations Manager to manage construction projects. The Field Operations Manager will manage safety, general contractor, employee engagement, customer satisfaction, profits, and sales growth of one or more customers or projects. Continually prospect for new customers and expand services into new regions within his/her area of responsibility. Conduct business in accordance with PPC and MetroPower's mission and vision statements.

Responsibilities

Forecast what is to be done on a week-to-week basis, when, and by whom. Analyze and forecast factors that affect results to maximize efficiency. Develop appropriate programs, strategies, and supervision.

Complete one- and three-year plans. Assist in developing the company's one- and three-year plans

Facilitate decisions that are made on a weekly basis to determine what will be done and by whom. Analyze and forecast factors that affect results to maximum efficiency. Develop appropriate programs, strategies, and supervision.

Assist in interviewing & hiring prospective employees. Manage employee job performance. Complete performance appraisals timely. Counsel, discipline, and terminate as necessary and in accordance with company policies.

Participate in employee continuing education in house or through outside programs. Achieve the minimum required hours per level.

Share manpower, resources, and tools with all branches as needed.

Represent company/branch within local community and construction industry/trade organizations. Assume leadership roles to help establish MetroPower as a leader in the industry.

Provide overall leadership to branch while acting as a team player; lead by example; provide necessary and frequent communication to direct reports to ensure smooth and efficient operation of department.

Safety

  • Ensure Superintendents are facilitating quality daily tailgate talks to include development and review of JHA by entire crew before work begins.
  • Ensure crews complete 1 BBS per 80 manhours
  • Ensure MPI Safety Handbook is followed
  • Provide oversight and review of all safety plans

Quality

  • Ensure red-line drawings are being maintained per contract on all applicable projects
  • Ensure storage, handling, installation, and testing is in compliance with approved submittals and contract
  • Provide oversight and accountability for the accuracy of daily reports
  • Provide task specific training opportunities to avoid unnecessary rework

Contract Compliance

  • Understand scope of work with inclusions and exclusions
  • Understand contract requirements regarding notifications of delay, RFIs, etc.
  • Document and communicate with the PM, anything that may change the project plan
  • Ensure Superintendents are meeting schedule requirements
