The right Plumber I checklist will include equal parts curious learner, innovator, administrator, detail driver, mentor, and motivator.

A Plumber I will assist the team in handling all things related to park wide plumbing. This consists of, but is not limited to, repairs of faucets, lavatories, outlets, and fresh water/wastewater leaks. In addition, this role is also responsible for maintaining the pluming structure of the park and ensuring all plumbing, such as fresh water, wastewater or storm water, is flowing properly for guests and hosts' comfort. The pluming team is responsible for ensuring Dollywood is staying above park, county and state standards and guidelines.

Summary of Essential Functions and Responsibilities

  • Assist in the installation of new plumbing systems or repair and maintain existing systems, such as water, steam, heat, water, gas, drainage, sewage, filtration systems and service lines and other plumbing systems
  • Repair and insert valves; pack faucets; repairs waste and storm drainage pipes
  • Replace broken fixtures and install new fixtures of high quality
  • Repair or replace pipes, valves, and other fittings on plumbing systems and pumps
  • Cleans out drains and obstructions in waste and sewage pipes
  • Fabricate openings in structures in preparation for pipes
  • Select all materials needed for installation, repairing and maintaining the park plumbing system
  • Install supports and hangers for pipes, fixtures and other equipment requiring pluming
  • Assemble and install valves and fittings
  • Assemble pipe sections using tubing, fittings, couplings, clamps, screws, bolts, cement, plastic solvent, caulking, or soldering, brazing and welding equipment
  • Measure, cut, thread, and bend pipe to required angle
  • Observe pressure gauges
  • Test pipe systems and repair leaks
  • Perform scheduled maintenance and preventative maintenance work as required
  • Ensure all installations, repairs and maintenance are properly sized, aligned, supported and grade
  • Document repairs or work order request forms and initiate material forms
  • Perform duties in a safe manner in compliance with manufacturer's specifications, company policies & procedures, applicable regulations, and industry standards

Education and Experience Required

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Must possess a valid Driver's license and insurance
  • Vocational training, and/or 1 year of work experience in a related field

  • Able to work at heights up to and more than 150ft
  • Able to lift to 100lbs
  • Able to do a lot of walking on hills and flat surfaces
  • Able to endure approved exposure levels to various chemicals found in cleaning solvents, adhesives, paints, and lubricants
  • Able to use hand tools and power tools related to the plumbing trade
  • Able to operate reamers, threading discs, jetting equipment, sewer tapes, pipe cutters, snakes, and other plumbing equipment
  • Ability to perform these operations using units of the Metric system in weight measurement, volume, and distance
  • Able to perform other duties as assigned
