Responsibilities
- Design civil site and land development projects using Autodesk AutoCAD Civil 3D software.
- Prepare technical design calculations for industrial, commercial, and power-related projects, including storm drainage hydraulic sizing and water distribution modeling.
- Perform preliminary engineering evaluations, quantity take-offs, and opinions of probable construction cost.
- Conduct site visits and prepare associated field reports.
- Coordinate and observe various field testing, such as water pressure testing and manhole vacuum testing.
- Develop strong relationships with team members and perform work with a small team through design, permitting, and construction observation.
Essential Skills
- Proficiency in design using Civil 3D, AutoCAD, and civil engineering principles.
- Experience in land development, permitting, and construction observation.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- A strong desire to continue learning and advance professionally.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, design team environment.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (BSCE) or Engineering Technology (BSCET).
- EI/EIT certification required; PE preferred.
- 2+ years of qualifying civil engineering design experience.
- Previous experience with AutoCAD and similar software preferred.
