HVAC Service Technician Job Description The HVAC Technician will be responsible for repairing HVAC and other air quality systems for various businesses or homes. The role involves keeping this equipment clean, fixed, and maintained for customers. Technicians will locate any problems, malfunctions, or dangerous features on an HVAC system and perform preventive services, including cleaning, adjusting, and repairing systems, along with any warranty maintenance. Responsibilities Respond promptly to emergency calls and provide routine maintenance to fix HVAC systems quickly for customers. Take detailed notes of each maintenance performed and log them for business records, customer invoices, and work orders. Locate and resolve problems, malfunctions, or dangerous features in HVAC systems. Perform preventive services, including cleaning, adjusting, and repairing systems, along with warranty maintenance. Essential Skills Troubleshooting, diagnosing, and resolving HVAC issues. Conducting routine maintenance and ensuring safety compliance. Installing, maintaining, and repairing heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. Strong customer service and communication skills. Additional Skills & Qualifications Ability to remove old HVAC equipment to install new systems. Experience in running pipe and duct systems through homes. Proficiency in reading and interpreting wiring diagrams. Understanding of refrigeration cycles. Ability to interpret various technical data, such as pressure and temperature. Why Work Here?
