Familiarity with design of cylinder heads, liners, pistons, rings, valves, etc. is an added plus. The Engineer will be responsible for carrying out required duties not only to support engineering and R D projects, but also quality, supplier development, manufacturing, and field service organizations.Job Duties:Create cost effective solutions for design of power assembly components including connecting rods, bearings and other engine componentsGather and evaluate mechanical design requirements to develop conceptual solutionsDevelop, implement, and maintain engineering designsPlan and implement experimental tests and/or development programsSupport supplier development and prototyping of experimental partsSupport engineering evaluation of field failures and drive root cause and corrective action initiatives to solve customer problemsQualifications:MS or BS in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering or equivalentCollege level training in theory and practical aspects of applied mechanics, heat, mass transfer, and its applicationsExperienced (3 or more years) in failure analysis of mechanical systems and developing solutions to solve failure modeProficient in engineering tools to aid in design and development of engine componentsExperienced in design validation of mechanical componentsExperience in Unigraphics/NX & Ansys CAE toolsUnderstanding of design/manufacturing processesQualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, age, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identify, national origin, disability, protected veteran status, or genetic information.
