General Laborer

The contractor will be helping in the remodel of trailers used on construction sites, schools, and disaster relief trailers. The person that fills this job will need to be flexible with job functions, and open to getting dirty on the job. The job will include: cleaning trailers when returned from site, replacing- windows, ac units, sheet metal, tile, wood panels, lights, door knobs, doors, plumbing for sinks and toilets. Painting inside and out including wood panels, bumpers, hitch, wheels. When not working on the trailers, they will be working around the facility, cleaning up the grounds, cleaning the shop, cleaning the office, they do not have a cleaning company, so they will be up for that. There will plenty of work outside of that to help out around the facility as well. Must know how to use carpentry tools and read a tape measure. Will do some framing, will hang doors, some light plug and play plumbing to hook up sinks and toilets and will install vinyl flooring o carpet squares Outside they will repair some trim, wood and paint touch up spots. When not working on the trailers, they will be working around the facility, cleaning up the grounds, cleaning the shop, cleaning the office, they do not have a cleaning company, so they will be up for that. There will plenty of work outside of that to help out around the facility as well. Based on customer preferences they will be setting up the trailer with furniture. They could put together desks, chairs, add TVs, coffee stations, etc. Top Skills Details Hand tools, Landscape, Remodeling, Construction, General labor, Tape measure, Carpentry, Forklift, Concrete Additional Skills & Qualifications Hand tool/Power tool experience is required. 2-3 years of construction or outside manual labor experience is also a huge plus! Experience doing remodeling, carpentry, or something else related to this job is preferred but not required. Must be able to work with minimal guidance Must have good Soft skills and be willing to work as a team Must be okay with everyday looking different. M-F 7a-4p $20-$25/HR Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
