Can you MIG Weld but have no on-the-job experience making it difficult to find an opportunity in that field? Look no further! Randstad has opportunities in the Athens, TN area for skilled welders who want to build their work experience in a manufacturing environment. These are temporary opportunities with a starting pay rate of $23.30/hr. Full time positions are available but candidates who are interested in part time may be considered as well. 2nd shift hours are 2p-10p. Responsibilities

• Set and maintain proper welding temperatures, wire feeds and settings to produce quality welds.
• Visually inspect all weld requirements for penetration and porosity.
• Load assemblies or component parts into fixtures and adjust welding machines to manually weld assemblies or component parts to produce quality parts.
• Familiar with checking fixtures, SPC control charts and tools impleemnted to ensure quality of parts.

The essential functions of this role include:

working in a smoke free environment

wearing steel toe shoes

working in a non-temperature controlled environment

standing for 8 hours at one time
