Responsibilities:
- Provide technical design leadership from concept through construction closeout.
- Review and approve engineering plans, reports, and specifications for accuracy, constructability, and compliance.
- Lead and guide multidisciplinary teams, integrating civil design with related disciplines.
- Develop innovative, cost-effective, and sustainable solutions for complex site and infrastructure challenges.
- Serve as a primary technical liaison for clients, contractors, consultants, and regulatory agencies.
- Resolve design conflicts and site constraints using advanced engineering judgment.
- Mentor and coach junior staff on design best practices and professional development.
- Manage project schedules, budgets, and deliverables to achieve milestones.
- Ensure adherence to quality control standards and firm processes.
- Incorporate emerging technologies and sustainable practices into design.
Minimum Qualifications:
- B.S. or M.S. in Civil Engineering required.
- A minimum of 10 years of experience with land and site design of residential, commercial, retail, healthcare, public works or industrial projects.
- Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) with active registration.
- Proven track record of providing technical design guidance and leading multidisciplinary teams.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook); experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D, GIS, or related design software preferred.
