OverviewWere looking for an Electrical Engineer to join our team at Egan based out of our Champlin MN office In this hybrid role youll be part of our Electrical Solutions and Prefabrication team collaborating closely with project partners to plan setup and manage designbuild construction projects Youll work alongside project teams from early design through completion playing a hands on role impact Responsibilities The basic responsibilities of the Electrical Engineer include but are not limited to the following Collaborate with the project design team to plan setup and manage a designbuild construction projectsNavigate and use Egans AutoCAD andor Revit systems and processesIndependently perform the followingManage projects from start to finish or take over an in progress projectsSet up a project or work on an existing projectsPrepare electrical construction documents andor change documents using Revit or AutoCADElectrical design and Engineering tasks such asGeneral project planningCircuiting lighting UPS generatortransfer switch and power system designsGeneral roombuilding lighting egress lighting and power device layoutsEquipment room layoutsMechanical or other building equipment coordinationPerform Energy Code calculationsCreate designs that comply with various BuildingElectricalEnergy codesAttend designjob site meetings in MNAssist with estimating projectsCoordinate electrical design with architectural interior structural mechanical plumbing and technology designsReview of projects shop drawingsConduct quality assurance and quality control on projectsStrong working knowledge of UPS systems generatortransfer switch systems and lighting controlsParticipate in construction documents and constructability reviewsKeep Project Manager informed of workload and any changes in project scope or additional servicesPromote a positive safety culture by following Egans safety policiesPerform additional duties and assignments as requestedassignedBuild strong internal partnerships work collaboratively with other Egan groups to support Egans Mission Vision and ValuesOccasional travel to job sites for meetings with field leaders site verification and job site meetingsRequirements Four year degree in either Architectural or Electrical EngineeringTwo or four year degree in Electrical Construction Design & Management preferred but not requiredMinimum of four years of practical experience working in the construction or design build fieldEITFE certificationlicensing preferred but not requiredQualifications Working knowledge in Revit and AutoCAD software and the ability to learn and utilize company standardsSKMAbility to design electrical systems power and lighting and document them for permit and construction useGeneral knowledge of all phases of a project the required documentation and the relationship between drawings and specificationsKnowledgeable with construction administration tasks like schedules RFIs punch lists etcGeneral knowledge of localStateFederal buildings electrical and energy codes and standardsStrong working knowledge in the use of standard office computer programs such as Google Suite or Microsoft OfficeDemonstrable organizational skills and able to perform tasks on multiple projects concurrentlyCourteous professional diplomatic and highly motivatedAbility to adjust to changing priorities and
