We are seeking a proficient Construction Estimator to join our team. By providing accurate cost projections, the Construction Estimator plays a crucial role in ensuring the profitability and success of our construction projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects, including material,

labor, equipment, and subcontractors' costs.

  • Analyze blueprints, plans, and other documentation to prepare time, cost,

materials, and labor estimates.

  • Consult with clients, vendors, and personnel in other departments to

discuss and formulate estimates and resolve issues.

  • Assess the cost-effectiveness of products, projects, or services, tracking

actual costs related to bids as the project develops.

  • Work closely with engineers, architects, owners, contractors, and

Subcontractors on changes and adjustments to cost estimates.

  • Present prepared estimates for use by management in planning and

organizing project budgets.

  • Prepare and maintain a directory of suppliers, contractors, and
  • subcontractors, and use software to calculate estimates and evaluate a

project's financial feasibility

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Proven experience as a construction estimator or in a similar role within the

construction industry.

  • Strong mathematical skills and the ability to analyze data effectively.
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills to ensure accuracy in

estimating cost.

  • Persuasive communication skills to effectively collaborate with various

stakeholders.

  • Familiarity with construction management software and tools for estimating costs.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.

Physical Demands:

This role primarily involves office-based work with extended periods of sitting while working on a computer. Occasional site visits may be required, which can include walking, standing, or climbing on uneven surfaces. Light lifting of documents, plans, or laptops may be necessary.
