BUILDING & INFRASTRUCTURE GROUP

Our BIG team has strong advisory and execution capabilities tailored to the building products industry, including construction materials and related services, across a variety of diversified end markets in the U.S. and Europe. Our senior bankers are experts in M&A and capital markets strategies for firms across this industry, from roofing and windows to aggregates and downstream products to residential and non-residential installers. Our investment banking experience includes solutions for technology providers in lighting, heating, HVAC, smart home, security & access, and automation.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

As a Sr. Associate / Vice President at Stephens, you have significant responsibility in supporting senior bankers with business development, relationship maintenance and transaction execution, as you continually develop expertise within the building & infrastructure industry. Key tasks include:

  • Creation and execution of business development and marketing plans in coordination with Senior Bankers.
  • Oversee the execution of live engagements, from the initial preparation phase through the closing of transactions.
  • Ensure accuracy and timeliness of work for Associates and Analysts.
  • Recruit, educate, and train Investment Banking Associates and Analysts.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by management.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 4+ years of investment banking experience or an MBA+ 2 years of investment banking experience
  • At least some experience advising clients in the broader industrials space; experience with building products is preferred
  • Excellent analytical and modeling skills
  • High energy with strong interpersonal, accounting and finance skills
  • Ability to perform under pressure and tight deadlines
  • Strong commitment to respecting and safeguarding confidential information;
  • Commitment to working hard
  • Extraordinary focus on work quality and attention to detail
  • Adherence to regulatory requirements
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
