The General Superintendent plays a critical leadership role in coordinating multiple construction projects across geographic regions to ensure safety, quality, and efficiency at a world-class level. This role serves as a key liaison between superintendents, engineers, and project managers, while overseeing personnel, resources, and inter-project operations.Responsibilities:

Coordinate field personnel needs and staffing across multiple projectsOversee resource allocation, including equipment, tools, and materialsSupport hiring efforts, onboarding, and workforce trainingMaintain relationships with union halls and attend pre-construction meetingsEnsure projects are organized, properly staffed, and meeting safety standardsManage equipment logistics, including rentals, trucking, and inventory trackingMonitor project schedules, costs, and performance to meet or exceed targetsTroubleshoot construction challenges and implement solutionsDrive adherence to planning processes and company proceduresConduct safety meetings and enforce safety complianceEvaluate field personnel performance and recommend improvementsSupport subcontractor qualification and coordinationCommunicate regularly with leadership and project teamsFoster strong morale among teams, subcontractors, and partnersEnsure client satisfaction and alignment with company objectives

Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED required10+ years of experience in construction, concrete, or marine industryStrong knowledge of project management systems (scheduling, cost control, estimating)Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specificationsProven leadership, problem-solving, and organizational skillsProficiency in Microsoft Office and project management software (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project)Experience with HCSS HeavyJob and HeavyBid preferredAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentWillingness to travel extensively (50-60 hours/week expected)
