Construction Estimator

OverviewAn established construction firm is seeking a detail oriented Construction Estimator to prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates. This role supports the preconstruction process and works closely with senior estimators and project managers to ensure complete and well scoped bids.Key ResponsibilitiesSet up new estimates and perform quantity takeoffsParticipate in pre bid site visits and document findingsReview drawings and specifications for conflicts or gapsQuantify materials, labor, and equipment requirementsSolicit and analyze subcontractor and supplier pricingAssist management with estimate development and strategyPrepare bid forms, summaries, alternates, and supporting documentsTrack and incorporate addenda into pending bidsReview subcontractor scopes prior to inclusion in final bidsAssist with last minute pricing adjustments and coverage resolutionMaintain historical estimating data, unit pricing, and bid filesAdditional ResponsibilitiesMaintain subcontractor and supplier listsCommunicate with owners, architects, and engineers during biddingCoordinate with project managers on cost updates and field feedbackAssist with schedules, drawings, and preconstruction planningQualificationsStrong understanding of construction materials and methodsProficiency with estimating software and toolsStrong communication and organization skillsAbility to meet tight deadlines under pressurePrior estimating experience preferredCompensationSalary range of 75000 to 120000 per yearFull benefits packageBenefits-Salary $75,000-$120,000 ( DOE)- Full Benefits + PTO- Car allowance + Gas Card- 401K , Medical, Dental, and Vision
