Our client is a well-established and growing electrical contractor in the Twin Cities, recognized for long-term client partnerships, strong financial performance, and a collaborative team culture. With steady growth and a history of consistently paying performance bonuses, this organization is seeking a Senior Electrical Estimator to support commercial, industrial, healthcare, and multi-family projects. This role reports directly to preconstruction leadership and offers high visibility, strong ownership engagement, and meaningful financial upside.
Senior Electrical Estimator Responsibilities
Prepare detailed and competitive cost estimates for commercial and industrial electrical construction projects.
Interpret drawings, specifications, and bid documents; perform accurate material and labor takeoffs using Trimble AccuBid.
Solicit, analyze, and level vendor and subcontractor proposals; identify scope gaps, risk exposure, and value engineering opportunities.
Support design-build and design-assist efforts with real-time pricing insights and constructability feedback.
Collaborate closely with project managers, field leadership, and ownership to ensure smooth project transition from bid to execution.
Senior Electrical Estimator Qualifications
3-8+ years of electrical estimating experience within a construction contractor environment (contractor-side required).
Direct experience using Trimble AccuBid.
Strong understanding of electrical systems, materials, NEC requirements, and construction methods.
Proficiency with Bluebeam, On-Screen Takeoff, and Microsoft Office; ability to manage multiple bids simultaneously.
Collaborative mindset with the ability to work in an in-office, team-oriented environment (flexibility available once established).
