un Looking to hire - Roofer, Roofing, Roof repair done image 1 of 8 compensation: TBD I do tree work. We hit part of the homeowner's roof with one of the branches. Even though it was just the tip of the branch, it caused damages to the roof. My friend in NE Minneapolis just had his entire house roof replaced and he paid about $5500 for everything. So if an entire roof can be replaced for $5500, a small section at maximum should be $2000. We would like to repair the roof damages out of our own pocket. I believe that not the entire roof needs to be replaced. 1. I would like to know if it is possible to just replace the damaged section? 2. I would like to know if it is possible to match the shingles? Homeowner said that shingles are 10 years old, so he worries that even if we find an exact match, it would not match the weathered look of his current shingles. Possible solution: there is a shed behind the house with the same shingle and the shingles are weathered on the shed. If we can remove the shingles off the shed, we would use the shingles off the shed for the damaged area. The shed would get the newer shingles. Is this possible? 3. I would like a ballpark idea of cost to repair the damage? 4. What is your availability to do the work? post id: ... updated: [ ]
