Position Overview Our client has been a trusted provider of high quality trusses for residential, commercial, and agricultural construction projects for over four decades. The Truss Designer will play a key role within the design team, responsible for creating efficient, accurate, and structurally sound truss systems. This position involves using industry standard software such as Alpine Truss to develop detailed designs and production ready layouts. Primary Responsibilities Design truss systems from blueprints, sketches, and verbal instructions Calculate headers and loads in accordance with local building codes Communicate with architects, engineers, and contractors to resolve design and project issues Create precise 2D and 3D roof and floor truss designs and quotes using Alpine software Develop production ready designs for manufacturing Incorporate design changes as projects evolve Qualifications 3 plus years of experience in truss design or construction drafting preferred Degree in engineering, architecture, or a related field preferred Proficiency in truss design software, preferably Alpine Truss Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints Solid truss design experience with attention to detail and accuracy Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects Excellent communication and problem solving skills Knowledge of building codes, standards, and regulations for residential, agricultural, and commercial construction Compensation and Benefits Competitive hourly pay starting from 24 dollars per hour 401k with company matching Health, dental, and vision insurance Life insurance Paid time off Work Location Hybrid remote role
