Title: Senior Estimator, Water Treatment Construction (GC & CM)
Pay: $150,000 to $215,000
Bonus: Performance-based
Type: Full Time, Exempt
Reports to: Chief Estimator

Are you experienced in estimating complex water treatment projects such as wastewater facilities, water towers, and substations, and looking to grow into a leadership role within a general contracting/construction management environment?

This role focuses on estimating projects in water and wastewater treatment facilities, including tanks, pump stations, and related infrastructure.

Who You Are

The right candidate:
Is experienced in estimating MEP-based wastewater treatment plants and water tanks
Has experience estimating site work and concrete
Balances accuracy, timelines, and cost efficiency
Validates details through research and thorough review
Collaborates effectively with preconstruction, operations, and engineering teams
Has 10+ years of experience in complex construction estimating, including:
High-engineered construction such as water/wastewater treatment plants, tanks, pump stations, instrumentation, complex electrical systems, large equipment installation, and civil concrete work

Responsibilities

Lead estimating efforts for complex commercial and infrastructure projects
Perform quantity take-offs and compare subcontractor and supplier pricing
Analyze drawings, specifications, and bid documents
Identify risks, constructability issues, and value engineering opportunities
Prepare detailed and competitive bid packages
Collaborate with operations and engineering teams during pre-bid planning
Maintain cost history and estimating databases
Support training and mentoring of team members

Education, Training, Key Skills

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
10+ years of estimating experience on complex projects, including MEP-based environmental work (wastewater treatment plants, water towers, substations)
Strong math skills including algebra, geometry, and practical construction math
Expertise in takeoffs
Proficiency in Microsoft 365, especially Excel, and ability to learn new software
Strong organizational and communication skills
Driver's license required
Reliable transportation

Work Environment

Office-based role

Schedule

Monday to Friday
Daytime hours aligned with project teams
Approximately 50 hours per week
