General Superintendent

Our client is seeking an experienced General Superintendent to lead field operations for complex water treatment plant construction projects based out of San Jose, CA. This senior leadership role is responsible for overseeing all onsite construction activities, driving safety, quality, schedule, and productivity, and ensuring successful project execution from start to finish.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide overall leadership and direction for multiple water treatment plant construction projects or large, complex single projectsPlan, coordinate, and supervise all onsite construction activities, including subcontractors, selfperform crews, and field supervisionEnsure projects are executed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with contract documents and regulatory requirementsLead site logistics planning, construction sequencing, manpower planning, and equipment utilizationEnforce company safety programs and promote a strong safety culture onsiteCoordinate closely with Project Managers, Assistant Superintendents, engineers, inspectors, and owners' representativesOversee quality control to ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, and industry standardsLead field meetings, subcontractor coordination meetings, and daily planning activitiesSupport project startup, commissioning, and closeout activitiesQualifications5+ years of experience as a Superintendent working directly on water treatment plant construction projectsPrior experience on projects located in California is strongly preferredDemonstrated expertise in construction of water and/or wastewater treatment facilities, including concrete structures, mechanical systems, piping, electrical, and instrumentationStrong leadership skills with the ability to manage large field teams and subcontractorsExcellent understanding of construction sequencing, scheduling, and field productivityThorough knowledge of safety regulations, quality control, and environmental complianceStrong communication, problemsolving, and decisionmaking skillsAbility to work fulltime onsite in the San Jose area and travel to project sites as required
