OverviewEgan Company is seeking candidates for an Assistant Project Manager Panel Shop position located in Champlin MN The main focus of this position will be supporting Project Managers in the execution and planning of control panel assembly and engineering projects within the Industrial Controls group This group is responsible for designing control systems for various manufacturing clients Some of the functions within this group include CAD design hardware engineering PLCHMI programming control panel assembly and electrical installation This role could also be a Hybrid role so working in the office and at home ResponsibilitiesSupport the Project Management team with sales planning and execution of projectsCommunicate with key project stakeholders regarding project needs and goalsAssist in analyzing drawings specifications and related data to determine design requirementsAssist with project close out for Project Managers including labor and material coordinating and tracking costSupport management of vendor relationships and supply chain for ongoing projects Attend project kick off meetings and post project reviews with project managersSupport sales efforts through attending sales calls and foster long term customer relationshipsAssist in resolving design and build issues associated with the customer panel shop and engineeringCreate purchase orders for bills of material and work with material vendors to procure the required material for projectsContinuous tracking and reporting of ongoing projectsConsistently promote and live Egans culture of safetyAny other duties needed to help drive the Egan vision fulfill our mission and abide by our organizations valuesQualificationsTwo year degree Vo Tech certificate andor 2 years related electrical experienceBachelors degree in business management or related field preferredBackground in control panel systems installations and practicesAbility to read and interpret specs and blueprintsStrong PC skills and proficiency in MS Office suiteGoogle suiteHighly organized and able to multitaskStrong attention to detail and problem solving skillsExcellent communication skills verbal and writtenAble to work independently and as part of a teamPreferred Experience SkillsPrevious experience in UL 508A panel shop construction assembly and sales processesKnowledgeable in Industrial automation controls integration UL 508A Panel Shop Solutions and familiarity with OEM and manufacturing controls related business opportunitiesExperience in job cost management andor financial management including budgetary constraintsExcellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work with all levels of internal and external customersStrong organizational skills to manage multiple projects
