About the Role LVI is partnering with a respected multidisciplinary engineering firm seeking an experienced and motivated Project Manager to join its Land Development team. This role is ideal for a civil engineering professional with strong leadership capabilities, technical expertise, and a proven ability to manage projects from concept through completion. The successful candidate will oversee diverse land development projects while coordinating with internal teams, clients, and regulatory agencies to deliver high-quality results on time and within budget. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage land development projects, ensuring adherence to schedules, budgets, and quality standards. Coordinate multidisciplinary teams to produce comprehensive civil engineering plan sets. Serve as the primary liaison between clients, architects, consultants, and regulatory agencies to ensure seamless project execution. Oversee internal support teams (survey, traffic, hydrology/hydraulics, etc.), managing both technical deliverables and resource allocation. Implement and maintain QA/QC processes, ensuring compliance and consistency across project teams. Facilitate project approvals by working closely with city and county officials. Manage multiple concurrent projects, allocating resources effectively across varying project phases. Support construction-phase services, including responding to RFIs and attending contractor/site meetings. Supervise and mentor up to five technical staff, including assigning tasks, reviewing work, and fostering professional development. Contribute to performance evaluations, staff development plans, and compensation recommendations. Lead proposal preparation, scope development, and fee estimates while supporting business development initiatives. Qualifications Minimum of 8+ years of experience in civil engineering, including at least 4 years in a project management or equivalent leadership role. Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (or equivalent experience considered). Strong understanding of the full project lifecycle, from feasibility and preliminary design through construction. Demonstrated ability to manage projects profitably while delivering high-quality outcomes. Proven experience in proposal development, client relationship management, and project delivery. Willingness to travel to project sites and regional offices as needed. Required Skills Strong foundation in land development design principles and civil engineering practices. Experience in cost estimating, bid-phase support, and construction administration. Proficiency in CAD/Civil 3D and other engineering design software, with adaptability to new technologies. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Ability to effectively manage teams, delegate tasks, and balance project priorities. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools. Familiarity with alternative delivery methods and geometric design standards. Experience with project financials, including invoicing and accounts receivable. Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and public agencies. Demonstrated leadership skills with a focus on coaching, mentoring, and motivating team members.
