Excvation and Civil Construction Estimator

MTN Point Landworks is seeking an experienced estimator to join our growing team. This position will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive estimates for excavation, underground utilities, grading, concrete, and site development projects throughout Utah utilizing our suite of takeoff and estimating software, including AGTEK, Trimble, Topcon, B2W.

MTN Point is focused on building a modern, technology-driven construction company with strong operational systems, production tracking, GPS machine control integration, drone survey technology, and standardized estimating processes. We continue to invest heavily in software, equipment, and internal systems to create an efficient operation.

The ideal candidate understands heavy civil construction operations, production rates, and how work is actually performed in the field. This individual should be capable of independently building complete estimates while working closely with operations, project management, and field teams to develop competitive and profitable bids. • Review Plans, specifications, and bid documents
• In depth review of geotechnical reports
• 3D Earthwork Takeoffs in AGTEK
• Pipe Takeoffs using AGTEK underground or similar software
• Solicit and evaluate Vendor and Subcontractor Quotes
• Build detailed and complete estimates in B2W
• Coordinate project hand off to operations
• Assist with maintaining and improving estimating database and production tracking

• 3+ years of heavy civil and general excavation estimating
• Ability to independently build complete estimates
• Experience with production-based estimating and unit pricing
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Field experience or project management experience is a plus
• Experience with estimating software such as B2W, HCSS, AGTEK, Topcon, Trimble Business Center, Bluebeam, Planswift, Etc.
