This is an excellent opportunity for someone eager to learn and grow, as the position can lead to an apprentice carpenter position for the right candidate who shows initiative and a strong work ethic. Responsibilities: Site Preparation & Cleanup: Clearing debris, digging trenches, backfilling holes, compacting earth, and setting up/dismantling temporary structures. Material Handling: Loading, unloading, moving, and securing building materials and tools. Assisting Trades: Supporting skilled workers (carpenters, masons, plumbers) by carrying tools, setting forms, or performing other related tasks. Prep construction sites by cleaning obstacles and hazards. Load or unload construction materials. Remove, fill, or compact earth. Follow instructions from supervisors. Assist craft workers. Ready to learn from on-the-job training when necessary. Perform site clean-up. Requirements: Must have a valid driver's license. (REQUIRED) Be at least 18 years of age. Must be FLUENT IN ENGLISH & SPANISH. (REQUIRED) The ideal candidate must be fluent in both English and Spanish, with a proficiency level high enough to understand, communicate, and follow detailed directions. Ability to do physical labor and other strenuous physical tasks. Ability to work in all weather. Must be punctual and reliable. Experience as a general laborer in the construction industry PREFFERED BUT NOT REQUIRED. Physical Fitness: Ability to lift heavy objects 50 lbs +. Reliability & Teamwork: Dependability and ability to work well with others. You will be responsible for loading and unloading frequently heavy materials and following directions from supervisors and other skilled tradesmen. To do well in this role, you should be physically fit, reliable, and a hard worker. The construction laborer performs physically demanding tasks on job sites, including site preparation (cleaning, organizing, setting material handling (loading and unloading), assisting skilled trades (such as carpenters and electricians), operating basic tools (power tools, tampers, mixers), and ensuring site safety by following procedures and wearing personal protective equipment (PPE).
