Minimum Requirements:
- Two years of working experience as a Power Engineer
- 4th Class Power Engineering certificate
- Possess a valid drivers license with a clean driving record
- Potable water or Domestic Wastewater qualifications considered an asset
- Understanding of Alberta Safety Code Regulation, which includes ASME Codes

Responsibilities:
- Learn and adhere to management systems
- Train and become qualified on multiple posts in a reasonable timeframe
- Operate the equipment in a safe, efficient manner according to established practices, procedures and operating guidelines
- Start-up, shutdown and Isolate equipment for maintenance activities
- Perform operator care rounds and routines. Enter work notifications for all deficiencies requiring maintenance support
- Monitor and adjust equipment and process variables to maintain a safe, efficient and environmentally sound operation and to ensure product quality
- Enter quality shift logs at the end of each shift and perform quality shift handover with incoming shift
Location and other Key details:
- You will work out of our Syncrude Mildred Lake in Fort McMurray
- The shift schedule is 3 days 3 nights and 6 off 12-hour shifts
- You will be required to perform some heavy lifting, use ladders and work on elevated work sites such as scaffolds and towers with the ability to perform in a variety of different environments both indoor and outdoor as well as within confined spaces
- If you reside outside of Fort McMurray, relocation of your primary residence to within 60 km of Fort McMurray is mandatory.
