Concrete Construction PM / Senior Estimator Wanted

MDC Contractors Corp is looking for an experienced Senior Estimator / Project Manager for concrete, sidewalk, curb, asphalt, and site work projects throughout NYC.

We are looking for someone who understands construction, can read plans, price work, coordinate jobs, communicate with GCs, and help keep projects moving from estimate to completion.

This is not an entry-level position. The right person should have real construction experience and be comfortable handling both estimating and project management responsibilities.

Responsibilities
Review drawings, specs, and bid documents
Prepare estimates and proposals for concrete/site work projects
Coordinate with general contractors, supers, foremen, vendors, and office staff
Track project scope, quantities, changes, and schedule
Help manage submittals, material orders, RFIs, change orders, and project paperwork
Visit job sites when needed
Keep jobs organized and make sure nothing falls through the cracks
Understand NYC construction requirements, site conditions, and field coordination
Experience Preferred
Concrete, sidewalk, curb, asphalt, site work, or civil construction experience
Ability to read drawings and understand construction details
Estimating experience
Project management experience
Strong communication skills
Organized and reliable
Comfortable using email, PDFs, Excel, Google Sheets, or similar tools
Experience with PlanSwift or takeoff software is a plus
