We are seeking a skilled Fiber Optic Line Installer/Laborer & Hand Spader to join our team. This role involves installing, pulling, and trenching for fiber optic pathways and to expand telecommunication infrastructures.

Candidates will have the option of hourly or piece rate with benefits with potential to earn $400/day

Duties

Install, splice, and test fiber optic cables in various environments.
Perform trenching, digging, and conduit placement for fiber optic lines and related infrastructure
Conduct maintenance and repairs on existing
Follow safety protocols including proper handling of hand tools and fiber related installation equipment.
Experience

Prior experience in telecommunication installation or network infrastructure is preferred
Knowledge of fiber optics, hand tools and digging is highly desirable
Experience operating bucket trucks, forklifts, or other heavy machinery is a plus
construction experience can be advantageous
Familiarity with telecommunication standards and procedures related to fiber optic deployment is beneficial
Previous work involving network infrastructure or telecommunication projects will be considered an asset as well as any construction background.
SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATES WILL BE REQUIRED TO COMPLETE THEIR ALBERTA GROUND DISTURBANCE LEVEL 1 TICKET. UPON SUCCESSFUL COMPLETION THE COST OF THE COURSE WILL BE REIMBURSED.
