Senior Electrical Estimator

SENIOR ESTIMATOR

Industry leading electrical construction contractor is seeking Senior Electrical Estimator to join their growing team in Connecticut. This is a leadership-level role for an experienced estimating professional who thrives under deadline pressure, takes pride in bid accuracy, and wants to develop the next generation of estimating talent. You will own the full estimating lifecycle from schematic budgets through design-build proposals.

Responsibilities:
Develop accurate, competitive electrical construction estimates and proposals for GCs, owners, developers, and end-users
Analyze detailed drawings and specs; identify and price value-engineered alternatives
Perform budget pricing from schematic drawings; draft scope letters, proposals, and vendor solicitations
Lead the estimating department mentor junior staff, maintain estimating databases, and build client/vendor relationships
Attend job walks, pre-bid meetings, and design-phase collaborations with clients and design professionals
Execute clean handoffs from estimating to operations with thorough scope-of-work documentation
Support change-order pricing and cost-to-complete estimates on active projects

Requirements:
10+ years of electrical estimating experience projects up to $100M
Proficiency with AccuBid, McCormick, and/or ConEst; strong MS Office Suite skills
Working knowledge of NEC code requirements and core electrical engineering calculations
BS in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field or equivalent professional experience
Analytical, deadline-driven mindset with clear written and verbal communication skills
Collaborative leadership style comfortable working across estimating, ops, and field teams

SALARY: $125-175K
