Job Overview
Reporting to the Director, Development, as the Development Manager, you will oversee all aspects of land development functions including regulatory approvals and delivery of applicable permits and registrations. You also ensure completion of development projects within prescribed timelines and budgets.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Overseeing and directing all aspects of the development process, including the development of detailed plans for land usage opportunities and constraints.
- Managing regulatory approvals and relevant permits or applications, including completion of supporting documents and due diligence, required for land development approval process.
- Contributing to the development and execution of annual business plan to achieve economic and organizational goals.
- Leading, managing, developing and providing guidance to all Development team members to enhance operational efficiency and productivity.
- Developing and fostering positive relationships with stakeholders, such as politicians, suppliers, landholders and city administrators.
- Developing and enforcing appropriate controls and reporting tools to monitor performance, address material variances and provide recommendations for improvement.
- Preparing, updating and administering project timelines and budgets.
- Collaborating with Project Managers for selection of project consultants.
- Assisting in the market analysis and development feasibility analysis of prospective land acquisitions.

Essential Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering, Urban Planning/Development, or equivalent education.
- Minimum 4 years of land development experience in a managerial postion.
- Valid driver’s licence and access to reliable vehicle.
- Satisfactory verification of criminal record check.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, Word, Excel and PowerPoint).

Work Conditions
You primarily work in an office setting during regular business hours. Travel to sites and/or offsite meetings is required. Overtime may occasionally be required.
