Bison Ridge Construction, LLC is seeking experienced Pipe Layers/Top Men for projects in the Denver Metro area, Northern Colorado and Southern Wyoming. Must have at least 2 years experience installing underground utilities including: installing new underground pipe (PVC, steel, and concrete); removing, replacing, and/or repairing existing underground pipe for sanitary sewer systems, water mains, storm sewer systems, drain lines, culverts, and water services. Accepting applications from 5/14/2026 to 6/14/2026.
Duties and Responsibilities
Read and understand plans and specifications
Lay out pipe and determine correct angle and elevation of pipe, inlets, vaults, and manholes
Read and properly interpret survey grade stakes
Effectively spot for equipment operators, in an effort to avoid damage when excavating in the vicinity of underground utilities (communication, power, natural gas, etc.)
Use hand tools (shovel, wrench, level, screwdriver, etc.) as needed during the pipe installation/repair process
Use tapping machines on pressurized water lines including: Ford and Mueller machines, and hole saws
Safely operate power tools (demo saws, grinders, circular saws, drills, laser levels, compaction equipment, generators, air compressors, etc.)
Attend daily meetings to review schedule, production goals, and safety
Work safely at all times, observing all company policies, OSHA Regulations, and site-specific requirements and policies
Competent Person Training in excavation preferred, not required
Must have a collaborative attitude and willingness to perform any work required including general labor tasks which may include shoveling, lifting, etc.
Must be able to work overtime including Saturdays
Other duties as assigned
Physical Requirements
Must be physically fit and able to perform construction labor activities including: frequent use of hands, arms, legs and whole body; long periods of balance, standing or sitting; frequent walking, climbing, bending and/or lifting; constant handling of material used during the pipe installation process; heavy lifting, moving, dragging, or connecting objects weighing in excess of 50 pounds. Must be able to work in all weather conditions including very hot, cold and wet conditions.
Work Reporting Locations
Foremen and/or Supervisors will inform employees of the work reporting location; the location will vary depending on project location; employees are expected to have reliable transportation to and from the work reporting location.
