Industrial Painter/Blaster

The Industrial Powder Painter/Blaster performs a variety of services related to the surface preparation and painting of manufactured products.

PRIMARY DUTIES:

• Operates powder coat equipment to ensure a quality paint job is applied to all required surfaces and mechanical bond is achieved.

• Maintains all related equipment to prevent unplanned downtime.

• Safely operates lift trucks to move materials around as needed.

• Masks equipment prior to blasting and painting operations as needed.

• Communicates with supervisor and abrasive blaster to ensure priority schedule is followed.

• Participate in continual improvement activities and the identification & resolution of problems.

• Comply with all company rules, regulations, and safety requirements.

• Maintain a safe and organized work area.

PHYSICAL ACTIVITY:

Lifting, of up to 75 pounds, is required. Considerable walking, climbing of stairs and extended reaching may be required. Will have to work with various power and manual tools, including (but not limited to) an air-fed paint pot and spray gun, air ventilation system, and forklift. Must be able to handle extreme weather conditions.
