About the Role Bohler's Herndon, Warrenton, and Richmond, VA offices are seeking an Assistant Project Manager, Survey to support our growing land development team serving the Virginia area. In this role, you'll prepare and review field surveys, direct staff, and perform quality control on a wide range of survey documents, from boundary and ALTA surveys to plats and record drawings. You'll work closely with Project Managers, field crews, and CAD technicians to ensure data accuracy, schedule alignment, and project success. What You'll Do Prepare, review, and monitor field surveys for multiple projects simultaneously Direct and coordinate field and office teams to execute survey deliverables efficiently Review survey plans, record plats, legal descriptions, and title reports for accuracy Conduct boundary analysis and computations of ALTA, topographic, utility, and roadway surveys using AutoCAD Civil 3D Ensure quality control across all survey drawings and reports Assist in mentoring and training field crews, CAD technicians, and junior staff Communicate project progress, challenges, and solutions with internal teams and clients Support project scheduling and coordination across departments and external stakeholders What We Offer A collaborative culture that encourages growth, mentorship, and professional development Opportunities to lead survey projects while learning business and client management fundamentals Continued training in Civil 3D, data management, and survey coordination Pathways for advancement into Project Manager and Survey Leadership roles What You'll Bring Bachelor's degree in surveying, geomatics, or related field (or equivalent experience) 5+ years of land surveying experience with demonstrated technical proficiency Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D and survey data management practices Excellent organizational and communication skills Ability to balance multiple priorities and deliver accurate results under tight deadlines SIT certification or equivalent credentials preferred Self-starter with strong leadership potential and a proactive approach to problem-solving Step into leadership with confidence.
