JOB TITLE: ELECTRICAL TECHNICIAN I-II

DEPARTMENT: SUSTAINMENT OPERATIONS

REPORTS TO: SUSTAINMENT OPERATIONS MANAGER

CLASSIFICATION: FULL-TIME

CLEARANCE: SECRET
LOCATION: HOLLYWOOD, MD

Job Summary:

The Electrical Technician is responsible for performing the full range of duties in electrical systems for aircraft installations.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical assistance and resolution when electrical or engineering problems are encountered before, during, and after production.
  • Install and maintain electrical systems including cable harness/components.
  • Assemble electrical and electronic systems and prototypes according to engineering data and knowledge of electrical principles, using hand tools and measuring instruments.
  • Modify electrical prototypes, parts, assemblies, In accordance with Electrical Drawings/schematics.
  • Set up and operate test equipment.
  • Analyze and interpret test information to resolve design-related problems.
  • Ability to understand Redline processes while working closely with supervisor.
  • Build, calibrate, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical component/wire harness, IAW the electrical Drawing /schematics.
  • Perform other duties as are necessary and/or required.

Basic Requirements level I:

  • High School diploma or equivalent and 0-2 years of experience with electronic systems, electronics troubleshooting, electronic testing design, analyzing information.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Recurring FOD training and awareness, upon hire and annually.
  • Ability to comprehend schematics and integration/installation drawings.

Basic Requirements level II:

  • High School diploma or equivalent and 2-5 years of experience with electronic systems, electronics troubleshooting, electronic testing design, analyzing information.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Recurring FOD training and awareness, upon hire and annually.
  • Ability to comprehend schematics and integration/installation drawings.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of IPC/WHMA-A 620 certification.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
  • Manual dexterity and physical strength are necessary to operate tools or make adjustments and repairs.
  • Must have visual acuity to inspect equipment and identify defects.
  • Ability to traverse manufacturing facility.

The range for this position is $20.00 to $37.00. Actual compensation will be based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to the candidate’s relevant experience, education and training, job-related knowledge and skills, the scope and level of responsibility of the position, internal equity, and market/business considerations. The listed range is a general guideline and may vary based on the selected candidate’s qualifications and work location, where applicable.
